  If you're on the fence, I highly recommend this add-on. It allows you to handle optical player effects in Blender all in one go, greatly improving your workflow. It’s also incredibly helpful for increasing the density of your scenes. A big round of applause to the creator!

  cool addon and works great in vanilla blender, I am a bit disappointed it isn't compatible with KCycles for the improved speed. When rendering it in kcycles, all of the flare elements lose their transparency and you don't see the rest of the scene

  Thank you for your rating, Dan. IWe have conducted tests and found that Flared works with K-Cycles in the same way it works with Cycles. You need to set the Transparent Light Path, in the render properties panel, to a sufficient number to handle the transparency levels produced by the lens flare. This way, you'll achieve a perfect result

  I wish I could give this more stars! I am not exagerrating when I say this has changed my life. I'm forever looking for little touches to add realism to my renders and animations and Flared does exactly that. Its super easy to use and I've not noticed any increased render times. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  So good! Adds exactly what I need to every scene, it's highly customizable and most of all it's super fun. Plus, I had some trouble with a scene and had instant support rightaway. Definitely a must-have!

  you just made my trip to photoshop redundant. thank you this was worth every single penny. when i can reduce the amount of software and achieve artwork that I'm happy with genuinely happy with, then that's a win for me. so instead of making my own (of which i could certainly do) but i wont so please keep up the work and TAKE MORE of my money lol :) Great job
