Quadfix — Fill Holes With Quads, Clean Booleans & Imports
Face → Grid Fill needs a closed loop with an even number of edges, or two loops with a matching count. With an odd count it gives up with a misleading error. Fill Holes with Quads handles odd loops, irregular outlines and band-shaped gaps itself.
It only joins pairs of neighbouring triangles within the Max Face Angle and Max Shape Angle, options such as Compare Seams/Sharp/UVs/Materials block joins, and it does nothing with n-gons. N-gons to Quads triangulates curved n-gons first, then joins with adjustable angles.
No. It repairs and converts the mesh that is there (holes, n-gons, triangle soup, Boolean seams). It does not rebuild topology flow. It is pure Python on Blender's own bmesh: no external binaries, works on Windows, macOS and Linux.
No. The result goes into the active object; the others are only hidden (Object → Show/Hide → Reveal Hidden) and Ctrl+Z restores everything. A safety limit rejects any seam rebuild that would change the shape more than the Max Shape Change value.
Blender 4.2 LTS and newer. Tested on 4.2.23, 4.5.14 and 5.2.2 on macOS.
