Silhouette Viewer

BlendyLabX in Rigging

Which Blender version do I need?
Blender 4.5 LTS or later. Check the listing for the versions tested with the current release.
Where is the panel?
Enable Silhouette Viewer in Preferences > Add-ons. In the 3D Viewport, press N and open the Silhouette tab.
Does it work in Edit, Sculpt and Pose Mode?
Yes. The supplied videos demonstrate all three workflows. In Pose Mode, the character mesh silhouette updates as its armature bones are adjusted.
How do I use it when posing a character?
Select the character mesh in Object Mode, enable the preview and Object Lock, then select its armature and enter Pose Mode. Adjust bones with Blender's normal controls.
Can I preview several objects?
Yes. Select the meshes in Object Mode and disable Single Object. Enable it again to focus on the active mesh.
How do Object Lock, View Lock and Camera differ?
Object Lock retains the mesh target while changing selection. View Lock fixes the comparison angle. Camera selects projection. Earlier recordings may label View Lock as Camera Lock.
Can I customize the preview?
Yes. Adjust Size, Margin, Position, Offset and Background. Use Background 1.00 for an opaque white card; lower values reveal the viewport behind it.
Why is the preview slow?
Try a smaller Size, lower anti-aliasing and a lower Refresh FPS target. Inspect fewer meshes. Refresh FPS requests an update rate; it does not guarantee that frame rate.
How do I get help?

Contact BlendyLabX through Superhive with your versions, settings and a short recording. For a Pose Mode issue, include the relevant mesh and armature in a small example file.
