A spider you can actually direct.
Rigged, animated and ready to drop into your scene: a realistic arachnid with 27 bones, five hand-tuned animation clips and a control panel inside Blender.
What you get
- 5 animations: Idle (feet pinned to the floor), Walk (in place), WalkFwd (root motion, about 0.227 units per cycle), Run, Threat
- 27-bone rig: root, body, abdomen, and 8 legs x 3 bones (hip / femur / tibia)
- Soft skinning with joint blending, so nothing breaks when the legs fold
- Feet stay planted during contact: no floating, no sliding
- PBR textures: Base Color 4096 + a generated Normal map, both packed in the file
- Adjustable bump: the normal map intensity is a slider (0 = off)
- Spider panel (press N): play, switch clip, change duration, bump and bone display
Formats
-
.blend- demo scene; animations and the panel are already inside -
.fbx- for Unreal, Unity, Cinema 4D, Maya -
.glb- for the web, Godot, and anywhere glTF is welcome
The panel
Press N in the 3D viewport and the Spider tab is there. No setup needed:
- Play / pause
- Idle, Walk, WalkFwd, Run, Threat
- Seconds - regenerate the straight walk with a new duration
- Speed (FPS), Bones display style, In front
- Bump - normal map intensity, 0 to 3
The panel lives inside the .blend as a registered text block, so it appears on its own. Just turn on Auto Run Python Scripts in Preferences (Save & Load); otherwise run it manually from the Text editor (Spider_Animation.py, then Run Script). The add-on is also included separately if you prefer installing it.
