What does Delete Stairs remove?
It removes the active assembly's generated parts, owned guides, finished copies and owned lighting. User-supplied curves and unrelated scene data are retained. See the user guide before deleting an assembly.
Do I need internet or an AI account to generate stairs?
No. The installed tool generates geometry locally. AI coding assistance was used during development, not as an online dependency during use.
Does it certify that stairs are safe to build?
No. Review structural, code, accessibility and fabrication requirements independently. Geometry and diagnostics support visualization and design development.
Are the UVs suitable for baking?
The generated UVs are for tiling materials and include controllable scale/direction. They are not a unique, non-overlapping 0-1 baking atlas. Curved and ornamental parts can have seams and local distortion.
Does Create Mesh destroy the editable staircase?
No. It builds a separate final copy and retains the procedural source. Use Edit Preview to continue editing, then create a new final copy.
Why is a short post below the handrail?
Fixed newel height is independent from handrail height. Enable Fit posts above handrail if the post should extend to reach it.
Can the left and right sides differ?
Each side can be disabled independently. Sharp-corner landing posts have independent one/two-post counts and slide controls. Symmetrical double flights intentionally share the master flight's settings.
Does it include glass?
Yes. The glass styles generate glass mesh and support details. Use a rendered view or Material Preview to evaluate transparency.
Can I run the private and public editions together?
Enable one edition at a time. They share the saved stair settings and panel identity. Disable the other edition, restart Blender and then enable the edition you want. Keep separate installers and project backups.
Can I use my own curve?
Yes. Select an open curve and generate stairs from it. Start with a single continuous route. A corner needs enough surrounding space for a landing; very short or self-overlapping paths may need editing.
Which Blender versions are supported?
Windows x64 with Blender 4.2 through 5.2, including 5.2.0. Blender 5.3 and later are not currently declared supported. Enable only one edition at a time.
