Mesh to Tessellation

P2_limit_sadge in Geometry Node Groups

Can it be used only to reduce mesh density?
It can reduce density when Poisson Spacing is larger than the median face size of the input mesh. For that use case, Blender's built-in Decimate modifier is generally more suitable and is recommended for better performance and more predictable results.
Why is processing slow on my mesh?
Dense tessellation can generate many triangles. Increase Poisson Spacing, disable Preserve Topology when it is not needed, or test on a simpler mesh to improve responsiveness.
Is the output mathematically Delaunay?
No strict mathematical Delaunay guarantee is made. Delaunay-style describes the visual triangular structure reconstructed from a Poisson-style sample distribution.
What are the Any Attribute inputs for?
They are optional slots for transferring named color attributes. They are not intended as unrestricted transfer for every custom attribute type or domain.
Does it transfer UVs?
UV layers named UVMap, UVMap.001, UVMap.002, and UVMap.003 are transferred automatically.
Does it preserve materials?
Yes. Input materials are preserved automatically, including multiple material slots and material indices.
Does it resolve mesh intersections?
No. Separate intersecting mesh islands and non-coplanar surface regions are processed independently, but the tool does not perform Boolean operations, create intersection edges, or remove intersections.
Is this a destructive remesh operation?
No. It works as a Geometry Nodes modifier, so the original mesh remains editable unless you manually apply the modifier.
Does it support holes?
0.5 supports planar mesh islands containing holes. Self-crossing, coincident, degenerate, or highly fragmented boundaries may still produce unexpected results.
The generated result has broken or missing areas. What should I check?
Start with a larger Poisson Spacing value and decrease it gradually. Also check the input for coincident faces, zero-area faces, degenerate geometry, self-crossing boundaries, or highly fragmented boundary loops. These conditions may produce unexpected results.
