Build an industrial scene in minutes: pipes, scaffolding, cable trays and railings – all procedural.
Tidebone Utility Kit gives you four Geometry Nodes generators that you drive with curves and sliders. Draw a curve and get a pipe run with rounded elbows, flanges with bolts, hangers or stands and hand-wheel valves. Add a scaffold with decks, guard rails, bracing and a tarp with tears. Lay a cable tray with colour-coded cables, or hang cables with sag. Run a railing along any curve in pipe, baluster, glass or cable style.
Features
- Pipe Run: elbows with real radius, flanges every N metres, hangers or stands, valves, insulation, 1–6 parallel pipes, outputs for length and part counts
- Scaffold: bays, levels, bay size, tube radius, timber decks, guard rails, toe boards, diagonals, couplers, base plates, tarps with holes; outputs tube length and deck area
- Cable Tray: ladder or trough, hangers/stands/wall brackets, up to 48 cables, hanging mode with sag
- Railing: pipe rails, balusters, glass, cable, timber handrail, posts at even spacing or at your curve points
-
One look: Color and Rust drive eight included procedural materials (painted steel with chipping, bare steel, insulation, timber, tarp, cable, accent, glass); attributes
tu_color,tu_rustfor your own shaders - Asset-browser ready, demo scene, README with polycount table
- No add-ons, no Python, no image textures. Tested headless on Blender 4.2 LTS, 4.5 LTS and 5.2 LTS: 40 parameter cases each, 0 errors, identical vertex and face counts (one exception: NURBS curves in 5.2)
What it is not (so you know before you buy)
Not a free-form tool for fittings (no T-junctions, reducers or branches); the scaffold is a rectangular grid, not an engineering design; tarps are noise-billowed sheets, not cloth simulation; the railing has no stair/slope mode; corner rounding works on poly curves; Cycles only (EEVEE and the GUI were not tested); not game-ready (apply and decimate). The renders are product visualisations, not photographs.
Included
tidebone_utility_kit.blend (4 generators + helpers + 8 materials), asset catalog, demo scene, README, license (Personal: 1 person / Studio: one company up to 10 people).
Quick start
Add a curve (or any object for the scaffold), add a Geometry Nodes modifier, pick the group, choose the menus, move Rust. Pipe Run, Cable Tray and Railing follow the curve; Scaffold builds from its own inputs. Turn on Realize before Apply/Export.
FAQ
Which Blender versions? 4.2 LTS and newer; tested on 4.2.23, 4.5.14, 5.2.1.
Does it work in EEVEE? Standard shader nodes only, but only Cycles was checked.
Can I draw the pipe by hand? Yes: any curve; convert mesh edges with Mesh to Curve.
Can I use my own materials? Yes: replace the material inputs; read tu_color/tu_rust if you like.
Can I use it commercially? Yes, in any number of projects. You may not resell or redistribute the asset itself.
