  This add-on saved me a lot of headache when exporting armatures / skeletal meshes from Blender to Unreal Engine. It properly scales the root bone with the "Optimize For Game Engine" option, unlike the default Blender exporter where the root bone always has a scale of 100. This checkbox alone was worth the money for me.

  Simply outstanding exporting and importing of FBX files, and the one click to exclusively import animation to the selected rig in scene is "chefs kiss"...

  If your shapekeys going from blender to unity are screwed up where not all vertices are moving. This addon fixes it.

  I used FBX Binary, ver 2020, i kept optimize for Game Engine on which seemed fine, every other setting is prob user preference. Worked like a charm though. If it doesnt immediately work for you just play around with the settings

  I had been struggling with the default Blender Fbx Importer for some times, trying multiple solution, and i try this, only had to disable automatic bone orientation and it worked flawlessly.

  Worked perfectly for me with an FBX file that was loading completely incorrectly using the default FBX loader on Blender 4.1.1 on mac. Textures, animations, everything loaded and ran correctly.

  Generally really good. I just wanted to report that in the latest version (better_fbx-5.4.18) Windows Defender reported a trojan in the downloaded fbx. This isn't the case for the older version I'm currently using, so I thought I'd just alert you to that.

  Blender gave me rendering errors for two hours straight and I was going crazy. I tried this one, and it worked perfectly. Honestly, you're a lifesaver. $28 is truly a fair price for this addon. Thank you.
