A massive time-saver! This tool has made my retopology workflow incredibly easier. Highly recommended!

One quick question though. How do I exit RetopoFlow once I'm done with my retopology work? I'd like to switch back to Blender's default tools for final tweaks.

Hi, thanks for the kind review! You can exit Retopoflow by switching to any non-Retopoflow tool. You can read how it works in-depth in our documentation: https://docs.retopoflow.com/v4/general.html

    Essential addon!

I really don't like spending money, like, in general, and Retopoflow is worth almost as mush as perpetual license of Substance Painter on Steam
Said that, I'm really thrilled by the experience and how well every tool and workflow is intergrated in Blender right now. And I can use a bunch of addons from other creators unlike in Retopoflow 3!
That's money very well spent - that's what I'm trying to say

Even after an hour of hands-on use and reading through the documentation, it’s clear that this is a very well-designed and promising tool.

Updated Retopoflow 4 Review (3–5 Stars Perspective):

I’m a senior 3D Production Artist transitioning from Modo to Blender, and I was originally looking for a tool comparable to Modo’s Topology toolset. Retopoflow 4 is a fantastic addon that actually offers even more than I initially expected.

At first, I was thrown off by the lack of visible hotkey options in the addon preferences, which made workflows like the pie menu feel restrictive. After some investigation and thanks to helpful guidance, I realized all Retopoflow hotkeys can be found and edited in Blender’s default keymap preferences. That discovery makes the workflow much more flexible, especially for artists coming from other DCCs.

I also ran into some minor usability quirks, like the tweak brush size occasionally getting stuck while working on complex models and the default Add Loop tool snapping in ways that felt unpractical during retopology. I understand some of these behaviors may be tied to Blender’s architecture and scene complexity, and I’m excited to see upcoming improvements like custom loop tools, patch creation, and potentially even freeform modeling.

What really impressed me, though, was that a developer reached out to me personally after my first review. That level of engagement is rare and demonstrates a true commitment to listening to users. I’m genuinely excited to see where Retopoflow 4 goes in the future — with a few refinements, it could easily become a must-have production tool for Blender modelers.

Retopoflow is absolutely THE tool anyone doing a serious amount of retopology needs in their Blender toolkit. Contours, Polypen, and Strokes are my go-to tools and I might not be exaggerating much to say that the Relax and Tweak tools might be worth the price just on their own.

Tools aside, the way Retopoflow sets up the retopo mesh, the way it snaps to the surface of the HP model, and the easy to access pie menu makes for a very smooth and fast workflow.

I do miss the Z and C hotkeys from the old version HOWEVER the new Relax tool works MUCH more intelligently. Totally worth working on my muscle memory to use the pie menu.

Additionally, Orange Turbine is a fantastic developer and always willing to help users with their products.

Thank you so much for the kind review! It does take some new muscle memory, but you can also get to Relax and Tweak quickly from any tool by using Shift LMB and Ctrl Shift LMB. Happy modeling!

Fantastic tool with room for improvement.
    - I would love the tool to be able to prevent overlapping geometry, especially with the polypen.
    - The cut tool (K) doesnt automatically snaps to geometry.

The integration inside the viewport is amazing, great work!

It's crazy. I just bought it and am finally using it properly, doing some retopology. The previous version was fine, but this version is a total revolution!!! I paid for it completely. It integrates perfectly with Blender's existing UX and allows for fast, lag-free work. I'm so impressed that I'm leaving a review! Thank you so much for creating such a great add-on!!

    This is a masterpiece!
This version 4.0.1 is a revolution!
The addon's difficulties are a thing of the past. And to be honest, even then, the difficulties weren't critical.
Now the addon works reliably, with absolutely no lag. It's pure pleasure and delight.
For retopology, there's simply no better addon, absolutely nothing. The price is absolutely justified.
THIS ADDON IS THE STANDARD IN BLENDER!!!
Thank you to the authors for their creativity and hard work in creating this masterpiece!
They turned painstaking and tedious retopology into a pleasure and an exciting journey through the mesh.
I wish the authors new ideas and their implementation.
